Tatting Guild

I went to the Palmetto Tatters' guild meeting on Saturday in Columbia. Officers for the next year were voted in, and we made preparations for the HOTT - Hats Off to Tatters - Convention that will be on June 2-3, 2006, at Columbia International University. Most of the women are nice and friendly, and they DO love sweets! One of the women brought chocolate from Switzerland to share - yumm-y!! One of the women - the treasurer- comes from NC, and one comes from around Charleston!

I'm afraid my tatting is not up to par with the others in the guild, as these are shuttle tatters and my needle almost gets snubbed; however, I am a beginner. I'm going there to learn - not to be discouraged. My feeling is that I need to practice getting the stitches tight and find direction! Hope was working with me before the 'folder compilation' began. She had made hat motifs that were cute as could be. Sharen made a butterfly while we were waiting that was as tight as a drum - and beautiful.
